Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) as the name signifies are the bits of DNA present free of cells – in the blood. As a cell dies, it releases its fragmented contents into the blood including diseased DNA among others (exosomes, miRNA, etc.).

This forms the basis of cfDNA analysis diagnosing several conditions.

Yes. Cambrian can help modify protocols on the KF Flex and Genetix systems. In the case of the ZyBio you will need to contact the machine manufacturer to load a custom protocol. This is a one time activity.

Cambrian’s blood gDNA kit uses a Guanadine chaotrope based method for the extraction

Whole Blood Only. All other sample type validations are coming soon.

The extraction protocol calls for 50 uL to 200 uL of Whole Blood per test.
